TMJ X-Ray and Final Results

TMJ
TMJ x-rays taken at the Forsus removal appointment, to
verify that the condyle was seated into the glenoid fossa.

Final Results:
In 30 weeks both dentoalveolar decompensation and preparation for dental anchorage were achieved. A Forsus Class II Correction Spring was used for 34 weeks to achieve complete correction of the skeletal Class II molar relationship. The final 30 weeks of treatment were used to close spaces created due to overcorrection, and to detail and stabilize the final result. The case was treated in a total of 94 weeks and 16 appointments. Use of the SPEED Convertible Tube on the upper first molar permitted use of the Forsus Spring, in addition to facilitating efficient archwire changes, and permitting posterior archwire bends to be made outside of the mouth, all of which resulted in greater patient comfort, chairtime savings, and greater efficiency.
